While taking the right steps to making your pond a healthy place water treatments must be utilized. Hobbyist can benefit from using water treatment products to remove impurities in tap water when doing water changes. Chlorine, cloramines, and other toxic chemicals are usually easily controlled with the use of the right type of water treatments. The goal in using water treatments is to treat unwanted chemicals and help improve water quality.

Medications can also be used to improve water quality of your pond. Typically we sell medication labeled under two main types. The first type of medication is intended for treating the water environment for parasites and bad bacteria. The use of these types of medications are not directly related to treating individual fishes, but are more for controlling the environment in which the fishes live in. Parasites and bad bacteria can be controlled through the use of these medications and help prevent your fish from being hurt or affected by these pests.

The second type of medication being presented is intended for direct fish use. These more specific medicines are intended to act as antibiotics, ulcers, and open wounds on fish. These forms of medications are intended to be used on fish that have parasite and bacteria damage visible to their body and natural being.
